How do I create a course?

Courses can be created using the ‘plus’ symbol on the OneTutor homepage. Only instructors are allowed to create courses. If you don’t see the ‘plus’ symbol, please check here.

What documents can I upload?

OneTutor supports uploading text, PDF, and audio/video files. For audio/video files, a transcript of the audio track is generated after upload and stored as material for the language model.

How can I create quiz questions?

Quiz questions are created in the section behind ‘Generate Questions’. Quiz questions are organized into topics and added to the relevant topic. Using keywords that guide the AI on the direction of the questions, you can control which materials and concepts the AI uses to generate questions.

How do I grant team members admin rights?

You can give your colleagues (e.g., tutors or course coordinators) permission to manage your OneTutor course. This means they can also manage materials and quiz questions and view course statistics.

Here’s how to add additional managers to your courses:

1. Find out your colleague’s OneTutor user ID. How to find the OneTutor user ID is described here.
2. Open your course settings and add your colleague’s user ID to the list of co-managers.
